AVRepair is the ONLY service center that can repair the ‘no firewire’ fault in your Canon DM-XL1A camcorder.  The firewire IC is obsolete, and is no longer manufactured.  Canon has discontinued support for the DM-XL1A camcorder, and they will no longer accept these cameras in for service.  AVRepair has gone to great lengths to purchase all the remaining stock of the obsolete firewire IC that is used in the Canon XL1A camcorder.  AVRepair is the only service center in the Nation that can fully restore your Canon XL1A, to proper operating condition, including the full restoration and use of the firwire port, using factory OEM parts.
